Nina Eichner lives in Somerville, MA, where she was born and raised. Nina is a local community organizer working on issues including climate action, housing, and ending the occupation. She has a Masters in Public Administration from Clark University and has spent a decade in non-profit and government administration, running arts festivals, and organizing her community.

Since 2008, Nina has worked primarily in oil paints. Her art focuses on people and objects found in daily life. In her portraiture she explores relationships, connection, and how we view ourselves and each other.

Nina was the Special Events Manager at the Somerville Arts Council for five years where she organized two dozen arts festivals and community events per year, as well as oversaw the Somerville Street Art Project.

From 2019 – 2022, Nina organized with Sunrise Movement, locally in Boston and then on the national staff team, overseeing and supporting visual strategy, mobilizations, volunteer development, and communications.

She is currently the Programs Coordinator at Momentum, a training institute and learning community dedicated to supporting organizers to build social movements.

Nina is a board member at the Somerville Community Land Trust where she works to build community power and fight for housing for all.
